The benefits of gratitude are long lasting, and combined with Reiki, can help immeasurably to heal your body and mind. By focusing on what you feel grateful for, you can move from negativity to a more calm and happier state.
Whenever the body is under stress, the body is often tight and tense, and unable to relax. When we practice giving thanks, we can shift our mindset to let go of worry, anxiety and stress, and shift into a more positive state. Gratitude doesn’t have to be a big thing. Even spending 5 minutes a day thinking of something that you feel grateful for can have a huge positive impact.
If you are someone who feels anxious, you will often be focusing on what may or may not happen in the future. If you are prone to negativity and depression, your attention is often more focused on the past. By practicing gratitude, this habit can bring your awareness and attention to the present moment.
Often I see clients coming to Reiki to reduce stress, help their physical symptoms, or to find a more positive mindset. By combining gratitude and Reiki, the client often feels a greater sense of purpose for the session. They then walk out feeling more positive, lighter and happier, as well as grateful for the healing! In this high vibrational state, clients can feel a great improvement, even after just one session.
Gratitude is something you can do anytime of the day, however it does help to set up a routine. For example, you might think of one thing you feel grateful for as soon as you wake up in the morning. You might also find one thing you feel grateful for when you get into bed at night. Try this for a week and see if you notice a difference. As a result, you might notice your energy shifts during the day, and improves your sleep at night.
