REIKI & ENERGY ALCHEMY

What does a Reiki & Energy Alchemy session feel like?

Your session begins with a gentle check-in over a glass of filtered water, where we talk through how you’re feeling and anything you’d like support with. Once you’re on the Reiki table, the healing itself feels deeply nourishing and relaxing. You may notice warmth, tingling, waves of energy, colours or visions — and many clients even drift into sleep, which is perfect for deeper healing.

During the session, I work with Usui and Seichim Reiki, intuitive channeling, and light language to support a multidimensional shift. You’ll feel supported, held, and energetically recalibrated throughout.

We finish with a grounding debrief to explore anything that arose and practical mindset guidance to help you integrate the changes. Most people walk out feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply centred.

Your Initial Session is a deeper, expanded version of the work — designed to understand your energy, map what’s happening in your field, and set the foundation for your healing journey. We begin with a longer check-in to explore what’s unfolding in your life, any emotional or energetic patterns showing up, and what you’re hoping to shift.

You’ll then receive a full Reiki & Energy Alchemy treatment, using Usui Reiki as the base to clear and harmonise your energy field, and may also include Seichim Reiki, intuitive channeling, and light language activations. Afterwards, we debrief together so you understand what was released, what came through, and your recommended next steps.

All Initial Sessions also include your Energy Integration Pack, delivered the next day — a guided meditation and aftercare toolkit to help you integrate the energetic shifts with clarity and ease.

Reiki is very gentle, and there are no harmful side effects — but it’s normal to experience some temporary energetic shifts as your system clears and realigns. These may include feeling a little tired, emotional, or sensitive for a day or two, or noticing old emotions rise to the surface to be released. This is simply your energy recalibrating.

Many people also experience positive shifts such as lighter mood, deeper sleep, clarity, calm, heightened intuition, or synchronicities appearing in their life.

These sensations are all part of the integration process and usually settle within a couple of days. Your Energy Integration Pack (sent after your Initial Session) includes guidance to support you through this in a grounded and gentle way.

You can receive Reiki as often as you feel called — it’s a gentle, non-invasive healing that never overwhelms your system. Most clients find once a month is a beautiful rhythm for maintaining balance, clarity, and energetic alignment.

If you’re moving through something big — emotional stress, a transition, burnout, spiritual awakening, or deep healing work — sessions every 2–3 weeks can support faster integration and keep your energy stable.

After your Initial Session, I’ll always recommend a personalised cadence based on what’s happening in your energy field and what will support you best. Ultimately, your intuition will guide you — trust it!

INFRARED CRYSTAL AMETHYST BED

Far infrared is deeply penetrating and very comforting. Clients often experience a rapid, comforting, nurturing, deeply warming and relaxing sensation, which promotes relief from muscle tension, joint stiffness, and pain relief. In addition, this infrared mat is completely filled with first class amethyst crystals. Amethyst crystals are a master healing stone, which also amplify energy. Combined with the power of a Reiki energy healing treatment, you will feel energised, relaxed and restored after your session.

Infra-red means “below-red” just like ultraviolet (UV) means “above-violet.” These two parts of the spectrum, though they are both invisible, have very different effects on the body. Ultraviolet (UV) light has been associated with many health risks whether it is from laying out in the sun too much or from tanning salons. Infrared light is the exact opposite end of the light spectrum and is associated with many positive and healthful effects.

Yes, absolutely! I can personally recommend the Infrared crystal amethyst mat, and Enlighten Therapies offer not only the massage table bed size, but also various smaller sizes for home use. When you purchase a product, please let Enlighten Therapies you are a referral from Melbourne Reiki and Wellness (Casey)! You can find out more, and order products online here.

DISTANT HEALING

YES, we do offer Distant Reiki healing sessions! These are great if you live far away, or you cannot travel for some reason. They are also great if you are unwell, and looking for a treatment you can receive from home. Distant Reiki healings are just as powerful distantly as in person. You can book in for a Distant Reiki healing here.

Distant sessions work exactly the same as in-person Reiki — the energy isn’t limited by time or space, so you can receive the full healing experience from anywhere in the world.

We begin with a short video check-in, where we set your intention and talk through anything you’d like support with. Then you simply lie down somewhere comfortable at home (bed, couch, yoga mat), play calming music if you wish, and relax while I channel Reiki, Seichim, intuitive guidance, and Energy Alchemy remotely.

Clients often feel the same sensations as in-person sessions — warmth, tingling, deep relaxation, emotional release, or a sense of being held.

At the end, we reconnect for a grounding debrief, where I share everything that came through and offer practical next steps. Many clients find distant sessions just as powerful, if not more, given the comfort of receiving healing in their own space.

USUI & SEICHIM REIKI

Usui Reiki is the original form of Reiki, founded by Mikao Usui in Japan in 1922. It’s the most widely practised style of Reiki worldwide and is known for its gentle yet powerful ability to balance the mind, body, and spirit.

Reiki translates to “universal life energy,” and is often described as a frequency of unconditional love. During a session, this energy is channelled through the practitioner’s hands — either with light touch or hands-off — to support healing, relaxation, emotional release, and energetic alignment.

Seichim (pronounced saysheem) or Sekhem Reiki is an Egyptian healing system rediscovered by Patrick Zeigler in 1980. The word Sekhem translates to “The Power of Powers,” reflecting its potent, multidimensional light frequency.

This lineage is connected to the ancient temples of Egypt and carries the energetic signatures of Goddess Sekhmet and Goddess Kuan Yin — blending fierce transformation with deep compassion. Seichim is an advanced, higher-vibrational form of energy healing that works through symbols, intention, and pure source light to support profound emotional, spiritual, and energetic shifts.

Practised alongside Usui Reiki, Seichim expands the healing field, making sessions feel more multidimensional, intuitive, and soul-aligned.

Usui Reiki and Seichim Reiki are two distinct yet complementary energetic frequencies. Usui Reiki is often described as a steadier, more structured “masculine” energy, while Seichim carries a softer, multidimensional “feminine” frequency connected to ancient Egyptian lineages.

Where Usui Reiki supports grounding, stabilisation, and gentle restoration, Seichim expands the healing field — working through higher dimensions to deepen emotional, spiritual, and energetic transformation.

Together, they harmonise the masculine and feminine within the body, bringing balance, unity, and a profound sense of unconditional love.

Seichim Reiki is a higher-frequency, more advanced form of energy work, so you’ll need to complete Usui Reiki Level 2 before beginning Seichim Reiki Level 1. This ensures your energy system is fully prepared, grounded, and attuned to working with stronger multidimensional frequencies.

Once you’ve built a solid foundation with Usui Reiki, you’ll be ready to step into the deeper, more expansive realm of Seichim.

Seichim Reiki Level 1 is a powerful weekend immersion held over Saturday and Sunday. During the course, you’ll receive the Seichim attunement and be gifted six sacred Seichim symbols — each carrying its own multidimensional frequency. You’ll learn how to work with these symbols, explore the energy behind them, and experience plenty of meditation and hands-on healing practice.

You’ll also be introduced to Goddess Sekhmet and Goddess Kuan Yin, learning how to connect with their energies and embody the balance of fierce empowerment and compassionate softness. We’ll explore the dynamics of the divine masculine and feminine, cord-cutting processes, forgiveness and atonement work, and other advanced tools unique to this lineage.

After the course, you’ll receive a 21-day integration e-course to help you ground the energy, deepen your practice, and embody the Seichim frequency with confidence and clarity.

REIKI COURSE LEVELS

Reiki Level 1 is your introduction to the world of energy healing and the foundations of the Usui Reiki lineage. Over this immersive weekend (Saturday and Sunday), you’ll learn how energy works, explore the history and philosophy of Reiki, and receive your Level 1 attunement — a powerful activation that opens your channel to Reiki energy.

You’ll experience guided meditations, learn how to give Reiki to yourself and others, and practice hands-on healing in a supportive group environment with like-minded people. By the end of the course, you’ll feel confident working with Reiki energy and able to offer healing to yourself, friends, and family.

Reiki Level 1  is your introduction to Reiki — you learn how energy works, receive your first attunement, and discover how to give Reiki to yourself, friends, and family. It’s the foundation of your practice and focuses on self-healing, grounding, and connecting to the Reiki frequency.

Reiki Level 2  takes you much deeper. You’ll learn the three sacred Reiki symbols, advanced techniques, distant and online healing, and how to use Reiki to clear past and present situations. Level 2 includes two attunements, Reiju (a spiritual blessing), and plenty of hands-on practice. After completing Level 2, you can offer Reiki professionally if you choose.

You’ll also receive a 21-day email integration course after Level 2 to help you ground the energy and confidently embody your next level as a practitioner.

All my Reiki courses are accredited with the ARC (Australian Reiki Connection), which requires a minimum of 3 weeksbetween Level 1 and Level 2. Ideally, I recommend allowing 1–2 months between courses so your body has time to integrate the Level 1 attunement, adjust to the new vibration, and build confidence in your self-healing practice.

This integration period gives space for energetic shifts, emotional processing, and plenty of hands-on practice with friends and family before stepping into the deeper work of Level 2.

Reiki Level 3a (Reiki Master Practitioner) is an immersive weekend course held over Saturday and Sunday.
Day 1 focuses on the traditional Usui Level 3a training — you’ll receive the Reiki Master attunement, learn to work with the Master symbol, explore advanced techniques with all Reiki symbols, and deepen your professional practice. There is plenty of hands-on practice, time for questions, and guidance on stepping into your role as an advanced practitioner.

Day 2 expands into a powerful advanced training: Protect Your Energy for Healers. Here you’ll learn essential energetic mastery skills — understanding the light and shadow of healing work, maintaining energetic sovereignty, clearing spirit attachments, performing fast home clearings, and navigating energetic interference with confidence. You’ll also receive Reiju (a spiritual blessing) and practice these techniques with your peers.

After the course, you’ll receive a 21-day integration e-course to support you as you embody the Master Practitioner frequency and anchor these skills into your everyday life.

Reiki Master Practitioner (Reiki Level 3a) is a 2-day advanced training that deepens your connection to Reiki and prepares you for the path of Mastership. You receive the Reiki Master symbol, learn advanced techniques, strengthen your professional practice, and expand your energetic capacity. Level 3a is the bridge between practitioner training and becoming a Reiki Master Teacher.

Reiki Mastership is a comprehensive 8–12 month mentorship with Casey. Across 10 private 1:1 sessions, you’ll learn to attune others to Reiki, receive two additional Master symbols, learn how to hold space as a teacher, give Reiju (spiritual blessings), and develop your own Reiki workshops and manuals. This is the journey of becoming a Reiki Master Teacher — spiritually, energetically, and professionally.

Reiki Mastership can only be taken 12 months after Level 2, while Level 3a can be taken 6 months after Level 2 to keep your practice evolving and your connection to Reiki strong.

LEARNING REIKI GENERAL

A Reiki attunement is a sacred energetic initiation where a Reiki Master Teacher opens and aligns your energy channels to the frequency of Reiki. During this process, you sit comfortably with your eyes closed while the Master works within your energy field, activating your connection to Reiki so you can channel it for yourself and others.

Attunements are deeply beautiful and often transformative — students may experience sensations of energy moving, warmth, emotions rising, inner visions, or a profound sense of peace. Because your system is adjusting to a higher vibration, it’s important to support yourself with rest, hydration, and nourishing food throughout the course.

The attunement marks the beginning of your personal relationship with Reiki… and for many, it becomes a lifelong spiritual practice.

Choosing a Reiki teacher is a deeply personal decision, and the best guide is always your intuition. Notice who you feel naturally drawn to, whose energy feels safe, grounded, and aligned, and who inspires trust within you.

I always encourage prospective students to book a Reiki session with the teacher they’re considering. Experiencing their energy, presence, and style firsthand will show you very quickly whether they’re the right guide for your journey.

If you feel called to work with me, you’re welcome to book a session or reach out with any questions — I’m always happy to support you in choosing the path and teacher that feel most aligned for your growth.

The best place to start is always with yourself! Daily or regular self-Reiki helps you understand your own energy, build your sensitivity, and experience firsthand how Reiki shifts your mind, body, and emotions.

From there, invite friends or family to receive short practice sessions — even 10 minutes is enough. You can also practice on plants, pets, your home, your crystals, or any space to strengthen your connection with the energy.

You’re also warmly encouraged to join our Reiki Healer Community Circles, where you can practise on others, receive healing yourself, ask questions, and connect with like-minded practitioners. Many students meet practice partners here and continue Reiki swaps well beyond the course.

No — membership is completely optional. The ARC offers two types of memberships: non-professional (for personal Reiki practice) and professional (for those offering Reiki sessions to clients). You’re welcome to join if it feels aligned, but there’s no requirement.
All of my Usui Reiki courses are fully accredited with the ARC and taught in alignment with our lineage, Usui Shiki Ryoho.

No prior experience is needed to begin with Reiki Level 1 — it’s the perfect entry point for complete beginners. Each level of Reiki builds on the last, so you’ll need to complete Reiki Level 1 before moving into Level 2, and both Levels 1 and 2 before enrolling in Reiki Level 3a (Reiki Master Practitioner). All three levels are prerequisites for Reiki Mastership.

At each stage, you’ll receive a certification that allows you to progress to the next level (especially important if you’ve trained with another teacher). All Reiki Courses at Melbourne Reiki & Wellness are accredited by the Australian Reiki Connection (ARC) and must be completed in person — online Reiki training is not recognised by the ARC.

For students wishing to continue into Seichim Reiki, you’ll need to have completed Usui Reiki Level 1 and Level 2before beginning Seichim Level 1. The prerequisite for Seichim Mastership is completion of Usui Reiki Mastership(Reiki Master Teacher level).

A Reiki Practitioner Certification means you are trained and attuned to channel Reiki energy for yourself and others. Reiki training progresses through three main levels — Level 1 (Shoden), Level 2 (Okuden), and Level 3 (Shinpiden)
At Melbourne Reiki & Wellness, Level 3 is offered in two stages: Level 3a (Reiki Master Practitioner) and Level 3b (Reiki Mastership)

To practise Reiki professionally on clients — including offering distant healing — you must complete Reiki Level 2, which deepens your skills, expands your energetic capacity, and qualifies you as a certified practitioner.

Reiki training is a transformative journey — one that expands your awareness, strengthens your intuition, and opens the door to healing both yourself and others.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A REIKI COURSE?

After your Reiki course, you’ll enter a 21-day integration period where your body adjusts to the new vibration of Reiki. To support you through this energetic shift, you’ll receive a daily email e-course with guidance, practices, and journal prompts to help you ground, embody, and strengthen your connection to the energy.

You’ll also be welcomed into our dedicated WhatsApp group — a supportive space to ask questions, share experiences, celebrate wins, and stay connected with your classmates. I’m in the group with you, offering guidance and answering questions as you integrate Reiki into your everyday life.

This 21-day journey is one of the most important parts of your training, helping you anchor Reiki not just as a practice, but as a way of living.

After a Reiki attunement, your body and energy field go through an integration period as they adjust to the higher vibration of Reiki. While a regular Reiki healing integrates over 2–3 days, an attunement can take up to 3 weeks to fully settle.

During this time, you may notice shifts in your emotions, mindset, intuition, or even your physical body. It’s common to experience things like emotional release, deeper self-awareness, changes in sleep or digestion, heightened intuition, vivid dreams, or new spiritual or energetic sensitivities. These changes are normal — they’re simply your system recalibrating to the new frequency.

Most shifts gently settle within the 21-day window. Supporting yourself with rest, hydration, grounding food, and plenty of self-care will help the process flow smoothly. And of course, I’m available if you need guidance or support along the way.
