Reiki was absolutely magic for my throat chakra! For the last few years I struggled with a painful lump in my throat. It came and went, and often hung around for months on end. It felt as if I had swallowed a golf ball and it lodged itself in the right side of my neck. My glands and lymph nodes would swell up, it was painful and tiring and my immune system suffered because of it. I used to get it when I was younger too, but not so frequently. Over the years, it had gotten much worse, and it eventually it flared up and just did not go away.
It got so bad that I tried everything. I saw a number of different doctors after each one told me to ‘go home and rest, there is nothing there’ or ‘you’ll just have to manage it yourself’. I finally got a scan done, which came up clear. My blood tests were all fine; there was no sign of cancer, glandular fever, or anything else. Being a lover of all things natural and alternative healing, I also tried past life regression, hypnosis, affirmations to clear my throat chakra and other things, none of which worked either. The only thing that I actually felt a difference with was through one counseling session I had. I was talking about a particular event and I felt a strange tingling sensation in my throat. On the way home, I noticed my throat bobble (as I called it), had dissipated.
A couple of days later my throat bobble had come back. I tried a few more counseling sessions but it didn’t change. What that experience told me however, was that this blockage was indeed emotional and energetic, rather than a physical lump, which is why it didn’t show up on any scans or doctors tests. So that gave me hope! I then decided to try Reiki.
After one Reiki session, my throat bobble had again dissipated. I was excited! Throughout my Level 1 Reiki, my throat bobble disappeared and remained that way for a few more days. When it came back, I knew I needed more Reiki to really help this thing along. So I started doing Reiki on a weekly basis. And the results were astounding. For the first time in many months, my throat bobble disappeared. And it stayed that way! I completed my Level 2 Reiki, excited and confident of the power of Reiki to heal.
Now, I have no more throat bobble, and instead I have the power of Reiki. I am eternally grateful to the practice of Reiki for healing my throat and clearing my throat chakra, and can’t wait to continue to share this incredible energy healing technique with everyone. It truly did change my life.
