The Magic Of Seichim Reiki

The Magic of Seichim Reiki

The magic of Seichim Reiki is actually quite difficult to explain.

Not because I don’t know what Seichim is. I teach it, practise it and have experienced its energy in some truly incredible ways over the years.

It’s difficult to explain because some things make way more sense when you experience them.

It’s like trying to explain what chocolate tastes like to someone who’s never eaten it. You can describe it all you like, but eventually you just want to hand them the chocolate!

And perhaps that’s one of the things I love most about energy healing.

There is still mystery in it.

Remember When Reiki Felt Like Magic?

If you’ve practised Reiki for a while, think back to when you first learned.

Maybe you felt energy between your hands for the first time and thought, OMG what is THAT? Wow!

Maybe your hands became incredibly hot during a healing, or you felt tingling, vibrating or movement. Or you intuitively placed your hands somewhere on someone’s body, only for them to tell you afterwards that they’d been experiencing pain in that exact spot.

There are these amazing moments when you’re first learning Reiki where you experience something you can’t quite explain. And it’s freaking cool!

Over time, though, the extraordinary can become surprisingly normal. I’ve practiced Reiki for many years now, and have developed a very familiar relationship with it. What made me once think WOWWW is now ‘oh yeah’.

Don’t get me wrong, Reiki is beautiful and still so powerful and I love it! But it is familiar.

And then occasionally, another door appears.

What Else Is There?

That’s part of what Seichim became for me.

Usui Reiki gave me an incredible foundation for understanding and working with energy. I loved it so much that it literally became the foundation of my work and business.

I could quite happily have stopped there.

But then I discovered there were other ways of experiencing energy. Different frequencies, different visuals,  even deities (like Goddess Sekhmet and Goddess Kuan Yin) that I was seeing and experiencing.

And naturally, my curiosity got the better of me, and I just had to know more!

Sometimes we grow because something hurts and we’re looking for answers. But sometimes we grow simply because something fascinates us. There’s no crisis. Nothing needs fixing. We’re just really curious.

And I think we sometimes forget that this is a perfectly wonderful reason to explore spirituality too.

So, What Makes Seichim Reiki Different?

Seichim feels quite different from Usui Reiki to me.

If Usui Reiki feels like roots travelling deep into the earth, very grounding, strengthening and creating a beautiful energetic foundation, then Seichim feels more expansive.

I experience it as a deeply heart-centred, multidimensional energy that seems to expand outwards, upwards and inwards all at once.

Within the Seichim or Sekhmet Reiki that I practise, there’s also a connection with ancient Egyptian goddess Sekhmet and Kuan Yin, bringing together beautiful qualities of strength, compassion, transformation and heart-centred healing.

For some people, exploring Seichim may also accompany changes in the way they experience intuition, energy or other spiritual practices.

But that’s part of the magic. Your experience doesn’t need to look like mine. Energy isn’t the same for everyone.

You Don’t Have to Become “More Spiritual”

Learning Seichim also isn’t about graduating from Usui Reiki and becoming somehow more advanced as a human being.

No.

I think of it more like expanding your vocabulary of energy.

If someone loves music, they might learn another instrument. Not because the first instrument stopped working, but because they’re fascinated by music.

Energy work can be the same.

You might learn Seichim because you want to deepen your energetic awareness. Because you’re interested in its heart-centred qualities. Or because you’re curious about multidimensional energy, light language, and all the interesting spiritual things.

You can learn something simply because it lights you up.

Spirituality Is Allowed to Be Fun

A lot of the time, healing is deep and serious. Shadow work, inner child work, cracking limiting beliefs and nervous system regulation.

And don’t get me wrong – I believe deeply and wholeheartedly in doing the inner work. My entire approach to healing incorporates psychology, mindset and emotional awareness alongside energy and spirituality.

Sometimes healing is difficult. But spirituality can also contain wonder, curiosity, connection, joy and MAGIC too!

It’s that moment when you’re practising with someone and you both suddenly feel the same thing. Or that strange intuitive knowing you can’t quite explain. Or you see a vision and it resonates so deeply with a client that it gives you both chills.

That is the magic that can sometimes be overlooked and forgotten when learning Reiki. And that’s what this next Seichim Course will help unlock – the mysteries and magic of Seichim Reiki.

Maybe Curiosity Is Enough

My next Seichim Reiki Level 1 course is 17th & 18th October, and if you’ve already completed Usui Reiki Levels 1 and 2, this course is an opportunity to explore another way of experiencing and working with energy.

You don’t need to arrive with something broken that needs fixing. You don’t need to be searching for a dramatic spiritual breakthrough.

Maybe you simply love Reiki, fascinated by energy or curious about Egyptian energy and Goddess Sekhmet.  Maybe some little part of you keeps thinking…ooh something is calling my name!

Sometimes that’s reason enough! Not every new chapter begins because something went wrong. Sometimes it begins because something lights you up.
