End of year reflection

End of year reflection

What a year 2022 has been, and a perfect time for an end of year reflection. For me personally it’s been a total rollercoaster with some amazing highlights, but also some big challenges too. Even though it feels great to have a plan and a vision of what you would like to manifest for the new year, I think the biggest lesson has been to expect the unexpected! The ability to be flexible, adaptable, and change with the tide is really what it’s all about, as you never know what might come your way!

Tough times

The last couple of weeks for me personally have been really tough. I’ve been sick, which meant taking a week off work. My right wrist has been in a brace that is not coming off anytime soon and leaves me unable to do anything with my right hand. Very challenging when I’m right handed and live on my own! And on top, there’s been other big things that have popped up on a personal level too. An emotional and energetic rollercoaster would be putting it lightly…

What might be happening?

There have been days of binge watching TV on the couch and feeling sorry for myself that’s for sure. However, I did also spend a lot of time in self reflection and meditation, as well as having healings of course, which has allowed me greater insight into what might be happening, and how I want to respond to these events.

End of year reflection

My invitation to you as we hit the busiest time of the year, is to carve out some time for self-reflection and meditation. This time is invaluable, as it allows you a moment to breathe, and work out what are the things that are most important to you. Here are some questions to help you in your self-reflection time:

  • How am I feeling right now?
  • What have I learned this year?
  • What am I grateful for?
  • What do I want to change for the new year?
  • What would I like to manifest next year?
  • What do I want to let go of that is no longer serving me?

Biggest challenges offer the biggest opportunities

The treasure is found in the darkest cave’. If you’ve gone through a really challenging time this year, know that it’s these challenges that create the biggest opportunities for growth and learning. The key is when you hit a speed bump, slow down, sit and reflect, and perhaps journal your learnings. These speed bumps don’t come from nowhere, we are always guided to the next experience so that we can learn something, grow, evolve, and develop in some way.
