Feeling misunderstood on your spiritual journey? You’re not alone. I’ve had this experience too. I’ve shared my spiritual experiences and powerful moments of awakening with friends, therapists and other healers — only to be met with blank stares, polite nods, or even subtle judgment.
Loneliness
Many people who are interested in Reiki, energy, and the spiritual realm know the deep loneliness that can arise when the people closest to them don’t quite “get it.” Reiki healers often experience this too, especially those who work alone or from home (myself included!). You might soften your words, downplay your gifts, or keep your most magical experiences tucked safely away inside — not because you don’t want to share, but because you’re tired of feeling like the odd one out.
My own experience
I remember when I was in the midst of my Kundalini Awakening I really needed some support. I had booked in for an acupuncture session and really looked forward to it! But when I got there and tried to explain what I was going through, I was met with judgement, resistance and defensiveness. I ended up having a ‘healing crisis’ after the session, in which my body got worse physically. It was immensely frustrating! When I did eventually find healers who could actually help me, they listened, understood, and trusted that I knew what was happening in my body. They were supportive and cared for me when I needed it the most.
Feeling heard and belonging
Finding people who take the time to listen, and to understand your perspective (even if they don’t agree!), is so important. People who can empathise with your spiritual experiences really does make all the difference! Whether you are going through something spiritually or energetically challenging, or if you are having an incredible experience that you’d just love to share with someone, having people who can connect on the same wavelength is imperative to ensuring you feel like you belong.
Healing abilities are a gift
Throughout my own journey I’ve come to the realisation: my sensitivity, spiritual connection, and healing abilities are not too much. They are special and sacred, and they are my superpower! My healing and psychic abilities are my gift to the world. That’s why I was put here on this planet – to help people raise their vibration and heal. But I was never meant to carry them alone. And neither are you.

It’s a place to share openly, explore the challenges of the spiritual path, and most importantly, be seen and understood. Reiki Healer Community Circle
Together we’ll talk about the real-life struggles of walking a spiritual path in an often disconnected world. We’ll support each other, do a Reiki swap, and discuss the energies and spiritual downloads that come up together. We’ll nourish our spirits and souls. And I’ll make my Reiki-infused banana bread for us to share!
There is something magical when healers get together in circle. Energy is amplified, psychic abilities blossom, and energy protection techniques are solidified. The power of the community gathered together is much greater than the sum of its parts.
